  Sunday, September 8 First Baptist Brunswick 4:00—8:15 PM Cost: $15/person Register: www.thesparkconference.com Your POBA will gladly assist POBA churches by covering the registration cost for you and your church members to attend the SPARK conferences. Contact the POBA Office at (912) 285-8161 by Monday, September 2. Dr. Mac Brunson will be the keynote speaker and there will be over 25 breakout sessions. Your church can be a SPARK Partner. A SPARK Partner is a church where the pastor makes a commitment to attend and bring at least 5 people with him. Spark Partners will receive scholarships for the pastor and five attendees. Contact the POBA Office for details.  

  UPDATE: POBA collected 168 backpacks that are being distributed in Kentucky in December.  Thank you to the churches and individuals who participated in this year's backpack collection.  ________ POBA will be partnering with Coastal Rivers Baptist Association to collect Christmas Backpacks. Backpacks can be boxed and brought to the POBA Office by   October 30, 2024. POBA Goal : 200 backpacks POBA will focus on packing backpacks for 9-10 year olds (4th-5th grades). Each backpack should be zippered and all items should be new. The Christmas Story and instructions for packing can be found at   mypoba.org/backpacks .

  Choirfest Update #2 : At of today (October 7), Choirfest is being postponed. When it is rescheduled, POBA will send out information. Thank you.  **** CHOIRFEST UPDATE:   Due to the anticipated weather associated with Tropical Storm Helene, Choirfest has been rescheduled for  Thursday, October 10 . It will still be held at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church, beginning at 6:30 pm.  **** Choirfest will be held on Thursday, September 26 at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church beginning at 6:30 PM .
